Tomorrow, Saturday August 27th, 2022, we will be participating in the 6th Annual SoundWaters HarborFest 22, from 10am to 6pm at Harbor Point along the Boardwalk overlooking the Stamford waterfront. This event is kid and dog friendly! Please join us for complementary BEMER therapeutic sessions. BEMER Therapy improves blood circulation in your body. Let's FEEL YOUNGER together! To find out more, visit https://margarita.bemergroup.com/ or message me! What is BEMER, or Bio-Electro-Magnetic-Energy-Regulation? - BEMER is a subtype of PEMF therapy, and it works with microcirculation in the muscles to help stimulate blood circulation for a better recovery. BEMER has been known to improve organ blood flow and nutrient supply. BEMER offers a wide range of products and services so that you can get the optimum strength and conditioning that your body requires. BEMER is a cutting edge holistic medical device from Europe which is being used in 4,000 hospitals, medical centers, clinics, and Universities. BEMER introduced a new field of medicine called electroceuticals, or energy medicine, and BEMER stands as the world leader in both research and development, and practical application. All you need to do is lay on the BEMER for 8 minutes and it opens up the micro-circulation in your body at a level that modern medicine hasn't seen before, energizing every cell in your body. This initiates the body's own powers of self-healing and is being incorporated by medical doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, med spas, and even over 1,000 top level athletes, who refer to the BEMER as their secret weapon for performance, endurance, recovery, strength, and energy. As nature would have it, this is the final frontier of health and wellness, it is totally holistic, FDA class II cleared and there are no side effects. You don't want to miss it! Tomorrow, Saturday August 27th, at the Harbor Point Boardwalk!

Food and boats can sometimes be a tricky combination. Sometimes, it's tough to find recipes that are as mess-free and easy as they're marketed as. So, here are some of my favorite drink and appetizer recipes that are sure to wow your guests while being practical and clean. 1. Rum Runners. Absolutely delicious and a super refreshing addition to any outing. Here's my tried-and-true recipe straight from the Florida Keys. There's even some cool background information that can serve as conversation starters (or enhancers) while you sip. 2. Caprese Skewers. I suppose I am a bit biased since I'm a die-hard caprese fan, but trust me, these apps will make you one too. 3. Bay Breeze. This cocktail is light, refreshing, and so, so, simple. All it requires? Pineapple juice, cranberry juice, vodka, and a lime wedge. My preference is actually to switch out the vodka for Malibu, as the coconut flavor brings out the best in the other flavors even more. 4. Summer Rolls. These rolls were made for summer, clearly; and we know why. They're incredibly light and colorful, and they're even gluten-free! In this fabulous recipe, she introduces pickled radish and carrots, and a crowd-pleasing hoisin dipping sauce. 5. Smashed Blackberry and Brie Crostini. The complementary flavors offered by this little bite of bursting goodness are to die for...just please try not to fall overboard :) If you make one (or more) of these delicious drinks and snacks, please feel free to comment below how it went. Also, if you love your creation so much it's worthy of a photo-op (which it will be), post with the #womeninboating! #recipes #drinks #appetizers #entertainingessentials

A day at sea can be a wonderful treat for kids and parents alike, but, as you might guess, the endless view of blue skies and water on their own is no match for a child's attention span. So, the next time you and your kiddos are out on the boat, try a few of these ideas, and make sure to come back here and comment your own take on the matter! 1. Teach them to tie knots Yes, my first thought also was, "This sounds about as entertaining as digging holes in the dirt all day," but you'd be surprised at just how fun tying knots can be. To start, make sure you practice tying knots before you teach your kids; teach them the basics, like a square knot to start, and advance the type of knots as your children gain confidence in their own abilities. You can even make a game out of practicing their knot-tying skills! Write down the names of the knots they learned on a bunch of popsicle sticks or little pieces of paper. Have them pull a popsicle stick without looking, and test their knowledge by challenging them to tie each type of knot they pull. They'll have so much fun, all the while learning a skill that will serve them for life. Here's a link to a really helpful tutorial for tying some basic knots: https://sailingorlando.com/sailing-knots/ 2. Cook up something to eat in the galley Your kids can be the perfect sous chefs when it comes to easy snacks to enjoy while onboard. When they're done cooking, they'll have a delicious treat to munch on! One classic: ats on a log! To switch things up a bit, here are some variations: The log: celery, carrot, cucumber, banana, apple, pear, or pineapple. The filling: peanut butter (or any other nut butter, for that matter), cream cheese, Greek yogurt, hummus, or mashed avocado. The ants: raisins (or any other dried fruit that can be cut up into raisin-sized pieces), seeds, olives, nuts, blueberries, raspberries, or cherry tomatoes. 3. Mix in some (waterproof) games/toys Whether it be a ball, frisbee, paddle set, water balloons/guns, or waterproof cards, promote teamwork and fitness with a game. Try out some games that don't require materials, too. "I Spy," for example, is a great activity to try, especially when you can see the shore. Alternatively, if you'd like to make toys the highlight of the outing, you are sure to benefit from a set of water skis, a wake board, a tube, or any other towable toy. Here's a link to my favorite tube, just to get you started: https://www.amazon.com/SportsStuff-Towable-Boating-Orange-Yellow/dp/B000EMVK5S/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=154UHZS1MO7LY&keywords=towable+water+toys&qid=1658435835&sprefix=towable+water+toys%2Caps%2C79&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExSDIxTkNONUw2WUVBJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDU5NzM0MUFGQldGT1lGTVRRQyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMDk2ODQ2Vk1aTkVWU0hBMjgxJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ== 4. Blankets & books Pack books to read, and maybe even blankets if this activity takes place as the sun starts to set. It's the perfect activity to wind down after all other available forms of entertainment have been exhausted, leaving your kids exhausted as well. Comment some more ideas below, and I'm excited to hear about your experiences! Have fun at sea with your family! #womeninboating #onboardwithkids #familyfun
